Shipping & Return Policies

Shipping Policy 

Rack Stop offers free shipping on orders over $200.00 (before tax) and a flat fee of $20.00 on orders $200.00 or less (before tax) to most locations in Canada with the exceptions noted below: 

  • Cargo boxes are charged $175.00 (Thule & SportRack) and $250.00 (Yakima) to most locations.
  • Rooftop tents are charged $150.00 to most locations unless specified otherwise.
  • Snow chains are charged $20 or $30 depending on the model, to most locations.
  • Certain oversized or overweight products plus products sent directly from our supplier will incur a higher shipping cost. We will contact you before shipping to discuss the rate.
  • Deliveries to remote locations will incur a higher shipping cost. We will contact you before shipping to discuss the rate.
  • We do not ship large items to Yukon, NWT, Newfoundland or Labrador.
  • Some clearance or sale products are not eligible for free freight. The freight charge will be listed on the product description page. 

We use standard ground service to ship all products and most shipments take one day per province with day one being British Columbia. Most orders for in stock products are shipped one business day after the order is received. We are unable to ship by air. 

These timelines are estimates and assume that the product is in stock. Rack Stop will not be held responsible if your order does not reach you within these estimated timelines. 

Orders shipped directly from our suppliers may take longer to arrive and may incur a higher shipping charge. We will contact you before we ship to discuss the rate and timeline. 

We are unable to ship to post office boxes or to locations outside of Canada. 

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information. Should all or part of the delivery address prove incorrect, you are responsible for all our costs including, administrative and transportation costs associated with returning the orders.    

Where delivery is refused for any reason, the terms and conditions of our return policy will apply. 

If a package arrives damaged, it must be reported to the shipping company and Rack Stop immediately. This will allow you to submit a damaged parcel claim directly to the shipping company. 

Rack Stop reserves the right not to ship any order placed online and, in such case, we will contact you promptly by email or phone.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of this shipping policy by posting updates and changes to our site. It is your responsibility to check our site periodically for changes.

Return Policy 

Upon delivery of the products, you must immediately check that the delivery received complies with the order placed, and specifically whether there has been compliance with the place and method of delivery as well as the type and quantity of products delivered.  Should the products delivered not comply with the products ordered, and Rack Stop has confirmed this non-compliance, then you may request:

  • either to have products delivered which comply to the ones ordered (provided they are in stock); or
  • to have products of equivalent quality and value delivered (provided they are in stock); or
  • to be refunded for the price of the products.

In the case of proven non-compliance, the return costs of the product ordered and delivered to you as well as the costs of delivery of another product, will be borne by Rack Stop.  DO NOT RETURN NON-COMPLYING PRODUCTS, Rack Stop will make all arrangements for their return.   In all other cases you will be responsible for the arrangement and costs of return as set out below.

We will refund most products returned to us within 30 days of purchase if the products are new, still in the original packaging, with all manuals, no missing parts and a copy of the proof of purchase is enclosed.  Except as otherwise stated, you are responsible for all shipping costs associated with the return of any product.   All C.O.D. shipment returns will be refused and sent back to you at your expense. 

If parts are missing or damaged and they are replaceable, we may, in our sole discretion accept the return but we will deduct the cost to replace those parts from the refund amount. 

Products listed as sale, clearance or special items cannot be returned or exchanged. 

Shipping charges are not refundable. 

Shipments that were sent with free freight will have our actual shipping costs deducted from the refund amount.  Cargo boxes are expensive to ship, consequently the shipping charges deducted from the refund can range somewhere between $100.00 and $150.00 per box. 

You are responsible for all returned products until they have been delivered back to us.  You must ensure that returns are adequately packaged, insured, and tracked. 

If delivery of any product is refused for any reason, then we will consider this to be a return of product, subject to the terms and conditions of our return policy. Any additional return shipping costs charged to us by the shipping company will be deducted from the refund amount. 

Refunds will only be credited back to the original credit card or payment account.
